Mourning Diary
Of all of the forms of memoir that I read, I feel particularly drawn towards the diary. There’s something about reading the immediate thoughts of the writer as they live through and work through the moment.

Richard Joseph Howard (October 13th, 1929 — ) is an American poet, critic, essayist, and translator. He is a professor emeritus at Columbus University and won the Pultizer Prize for his 1969 poetry collection Untitled Subjects. He has also won many other awards, including the PEN Translation Prize, the National Book Award, and the PEN/Ralph Manheim Medal for his translations.

The Fire Within
He has been institutionalized and addicted to drugs for quite some time, and he feels that he is on the verge of losing his looks and his status as he continues to fail to meet expectations.
The Flanders Road
After reading it, I don’t think I’ll be reading much — or any — more of Simon’s work, but at the same time that didn’t render this novel a complete waste of time.
A Happy Death
Though the novel is complete in terms of narrative, it’s not exactly finished per se. There’s a note in front of my edition that explains that the decision was made to publish the work because reading as much of Camus’ as possible helps readers and scholars understand who Camus was as a writer and his process.
