Esther Allen is a writer and translator. She is a Chevalier de l’ordre des arts et des lettres in France. She has won several awards for her work including the National Translation Award and the Feliks Gross Award.
She co-founded the PEN World Voices Festival in 2005, and has done work with PEN/Heim Translation, World Poetry Books, and the American Literary Translators Association.
