Harper Lee

(April 28th, 1926 – February 19th, 2016)

Nelle Harper Lee was an American novelist who wrote To Kill a Mockingbird, which became a classic novel in her lifetime. She was awarded 1961 Pulitzer Prize and the 2007 Presidential Medal of Freedom. She was also a close childhood friend of novelist Truman Capote.
