His pseudonyms include: Richard Stark, Rolfe Passer, Alan Marshall, Alan Marsh, James Blue, Ben Christopher, John Dexter, Andrew Shaw, Edwin West, John B Allan, Don Holliday, Curt Clark, Tucker Coe, PN Castor, Timothy J Culver, J Morgan Cunningham, Samuel Holt, and Judson Jack Carmichael.
He also shared the pseudonym Barbara Wilson with Laurence Janifer for their collaboration on The Pleasures We Know.
